It is forged in the daily, uninspired, sometimes quietly terrified execution of repeated commitments on Day 14 and Day 28 and Day 45 — the days that feel like nothing, the days no one celebrates, the days that are doing everything.

Every day you keep the commitment is a link in the chain. Every link is a kept promise to yourself and to God.

Every kept promise deposits a small but irreversible amount of evidence into your self-trust account — evidence that says you are someone who does what you say you will do, regardless of how you feel, regardless of whether anyone is watching, regardless of whether the confidence showed up that morning or not.

Over time that chain becomes something the enemy cannot easily argue with.
